She got out and began unloading the groceries when David came walking up to help her. “Hi David.” He was always so thoughtful, she loved that about him. “Buy out the store?” He laughed seeing the loaded van. “Just about. Growing kids need food.” She smiled at him. “I hope I can get it all put away before they get here.” He nodded and grabbed four bags at once. “I’ll help.” On the last trip in, David passed the pantry. “David.” He sat the bags down on the counter. “I know I am not seeing this.” He went back to the pantry. She had climbed on the bottom shelf to put something on the top one. “I’m stuck.” She didn’t look stuck. Instead all he could see was those gorgeous tanned legs and her shapely behind. “Huh?” The woman was killing him. “My blouse is caught on something. I don’t want to rip it.” He came alert then. “Just a minute.” He moved in to the small pantry. “You are caught on a nail.” He reached around her and pulled it loose. She looked down at him. “Thanks.” He grabbed her around the waist and sat her on the floor. She turned to face him. “Would you quit climbing on things.” He grumbled, she didn’t listen. “I have to climb on things. I’m short.” She gave him that bright saucy smile of hers and he was lost. He was tired of fighting off the inevitable. David pulled her in to his arms and planted a kiss on her surprised lips. He’d been wanting to kiss her for the longest time and she didn’t put up the least resistance. His big hands found their way to her shapely butt which he caressed and he lifted her up some so he could kiss her more fully. Her hands wrapped around his shoulders and he noticed she was practically climbing up his legs to get closer. She made the most needy sound he’d ever heard. She was warm and soft, so inviting. Good Lord, he wanted her with a desperation that shocked him. He pulled his lips away. Her blue eyes were dilated in desire as he looked down at her. “David.” She sighed longingly. “Don’t stop, please don’t stop.” She clung to him. David was just about to kiss her again when he heard the kids walking up the drive, coming home from school. Madison was squealing. He sat her away from him. “The kids are home. Later.” “Promise?” She asked softly. He walked to the back door and nodded. “Affirmative.” He was as hard as a rock. |
